About
This is a blog about freedom. From a structural, financial perspective.
Not the vague, motivational version of freedom that lives on vision boards, but the kind that comes from understanding money, systems and incentives. The kind that is built deliberately, over time, with clear thinking and sound decisions.
Because real independence is not a mindset.
It needs structure.
And structures are built through capital allocation, agency and long-term strategy.
Who I Am
My name is Nike.
I am a German-qualified attorney, co-founder and Chief Legal Officer of a payment startup and a startup ecosystem builder with a strong focus on venture capital, financial infrastructure and emerging technologies.
My work sits at the intersection of:
- Law and capital
- Startups and venture funds
- Financial systems and digital assets
- Cross-border structures and long-term wealth strategies
I have advised technology companies, work inside an early-stage startup as a co-founder and Chief Legal Officer and operate in international venture and founder networks. My focus is not theory or lifestyle advice, but the real mechanics of how wealth is built, funded and structured.
I am particularly interested in how capital flows, how systems shape incentives and how individuals can position themselves intelligently inside these systems.
What This Blog Is About
This blog is where I think in public about money, investing, Bitcoin and the structural forces shaping the modern economy.
You will find:
- Clear explanations of financial and macroeconomic concepts
- Practical insights into investing and capital allocation
- Observations from the startup and venture ecosystem
- Deep dives into Bitcoin and monetary systems
- Strategic thinking about ownership, leverage, and long-term positioning
This is not a coaching space.
And it is not about “finding your passion.”
It is about understanding how the world actually works - and using that knowledge to build a life with more autonomy, optionality and control.
This is for you if…
Is This For You?
Let’s be honest. Big changes expose the weak spots.
If your systems are a mess, your money is a shitshow, or your mind is running the show unchecked, it’s going to get rough.
That’s why I built this blog:
To offer clarity, tools and the kind of straight talk I wish I’d heard earlier.
This is for you if:
You know you should change something, but don't know how to start.
You've followed the Tony Robbinses, the Gabby Bernsteins, the Joe Dispenzas and Kate Northrups — and you're starting to see the cracks, in their own stories, their fluffy advice and their sneaky sales tactics.
You want depth, not dopamine. Substance, not slogans.
And maybe you’ve also noticed something else:
That most of the popular “success” advice comes from a distinctly American perspective. One that often lacks nuance, honesty and any real grasp of life outside the North American bubble.
I’m here to offer something different.
A European lens. A legal mind. A bullshit radar honed in both corporate boardrooms and chaotic crypto channels.
This blog is for women who:
Are curious, analytical and allergic to fluff
Believe in dreams, but also in deadlines, taxes and cash flow
Want to understand how things work: economically, psychologically, politically
Are skeptical of charlatans and sales tactics dressed up as spirituality
Value freedom, but know it has to be built on real-world foundations
TL;DR?
You’re not looking for permission anymore. You’re looking for tools. Insight. A strategy. Concrete steps to get started.
You don’t need to become a trader, a founder or a Bitcoin maximalist.
But you do need to understand the systems you live inside.
Because if you don’t design your financial life consciously, someone else will design it for you. And that's almost never the best for you.
Get to know me.
Why I am Writing this Blog
I am not a finfluencer, not a coach who read one book and built a funnel.
I am a trained lawyer with over a decade in the game, a practising attorney and co-founder of a payment company.
I was born in southern Germany, once aimed for a career as an opera singer, and ended up studying law.
For years, I worked as an in-house attorney in the music industry: great on paper, good salary, shiny title.
But here’s the truth:
I was not happy and it took me a long time to figure out why.
It was the lack of freedom.
Eventually, I walked away from the corporate career track and built a new life as a solo lawyer focused on crypto, tech and digital freedom. I’ve seen up close how fast the world is changing and how unprepared most people are to adapt. Especially women.
I believe that money, law and technology are the new levers of power, and if we don’t understand them, we’ll always be at the mercy of those who do.
This blog is where I unpack what I’ve learned, what I’m still learning and how to navigate this moment in history with intelligence, independence, and real agency.
How I Changed My Life (By Telling Myself the Truth)
After more than 10 years, when I realized this life was no longer for me, I didn’t try to reinvent myself overnight.
I took a sober look at the structures I had built - and the incentives that had shaped my decisions.
- My professional path
- My financial setup
- My relationship with money and risk
- The life that had formed around all of it
From the outside, it looked successful and stable.
But it wasn’t aligned with what I actually wanted.
That realization was pretty uncomfortable.
But it was also the beginning of real agency.
Take it from the great philosopher Mike Tyson:
"Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the face"
So I went back to first principles.
I started looking at everything through one lens: money and incentives.
How I earned it.
How I saved it.
How I invested it.
And what kind of life my financial structure was quietly forcing me into.
Because money is not just a tool for consumption.
It is the system that determines your options, your resilience, and your freedom of movement.
Rethinking that system meant rethinking everything else.
Professionally, personally, and financially.
It included a series of hard decisions and eventually leaving my job to build something on my own terms.
Why Money Matters
Let’s be clear: freedom without money is a fantasy.
You can meditate, journal and visualize your best life all day , but if your finances are a shitshow, you’ll stay stuck.
I say this as someone who has made excellent career decisions and some terrible financial ones.
For years, I ignored my finances.
I thought that as long as I worked hard and saved my money, it would all somehow work out.
It didn’t. Like so many others, I fell into the lifestyle creep trap.
Eventually, I had to get serious about money.
Not just earning it, but really understanding it, investing it and learning to use it as a tool for independence.
That journey led me to Bitcoin.
Not because it's trendy, but because it represents something I care deeply about: sovereignty.
As a solo founder and legal professional in the crypto space, I’ve seen how fast the world is shifting — and how few people (especially women) are prepared to engage with money as power.
We have to change that.
This blog is part of that mission.
To make conversations about money normal, smart and empowering — especially for women who are building lives outside the traditional mold.
Where I Am Now
Today, I run two businesses:
A startup and my solo law firm with a focus on digital assets - and of course this platform which I built to educate, challenge and support women who want more agency over their lives and money.
I love to travel and spend a lot of time in Southeast Asia with my boyfriend. We're always alternating between ocean cities like Da Nang and tech-forward hubs like Bangkok, and of course, Munich, our current home base.
It’s a life I consciously designed. Not because it’s perfect or easy (it’s neither), but because it reflects what I care about most:
freedom, ownership and growth.
Running your own business is hard.
Being outside the system comes with risks.
But for me, it was totally worth it.
